About the NW Real Estate Group
Robynne Whitaker and Jeffrey Nagel are the NW Real Estate Group at John L. Scott. We joined forces in 2017 to provide even better service to our clients.
If you're like most people, you might buy or sell a home once every decade or so. And you can do it yourself if you choose--real estate isn't rocket science! But having an expert to guide you will make the process easier and a lot less stressful. With our market knowledge and experience, you'll get the information and professional perspective you need to make the best decisions for you. We'll connect you with reputable professionals (escrow officers, lenders, inspectors, etc.) as needed. We'll negotiate fiercely on your behalf. And when there are bumps in the road, you can rely on us to work behind the scenes to smooth them out.
What’s It Like to Work With Us?
Our clients tell us it’s fantastic, and they make a point of telling their friends and family about us. Outstanding customer service sets us apart as professionals. You'll get:
Great communication – You'll know what you need to know, when you need to know it, shared in a positive and professional manner. You can never ask us too many questions! It’s our job to educate you.
Confidentiality – Your business is just that – your business. As your brokers, we safeguard your private information, be it financial, medical, or personal
Honesty – You get the full, unvarnished truth from us, coupled with great advice. That’s important when making a decision!
Full disclosure – If we come across something that might be important to you, or even change your thoughts about buying or selling, we will tell you immediately.
Patience – We’re not going to push or pressure you to make a decision. In our experience, these things unfold at their own pace, sometimes fast, sometimes slow. Everyone has their own process for decision-making, and we respect that.
Humor – really! Buying or selling a house can be stressful, but you can have some fun through the process. We are inverse paranoids, meaning we believe the universe is conspiring to do you good!
Robynne Whitaker grew up outside of Boston and moved to the Bay Area after graduate school. She spent almost a decade living in San Francisco and the Peninsula, until traffic got the better of her and she moved to Ashland. Twenty years later, Ashland has become home. The Boston accent is gone; her daughters graduated from Ashland High School; and she has put down roots. Over the years, Robynne has been very active in the community. She volunteered in the schools, led Brownie and Girl Scout troops, and was secretary and treasurer of Ballet Rogue. She loves animals, so it’s no surprise that she’s been involved with several animal-related nonprofits, including SoHumane, where she has served in many volunteer positions, from dog-walker to board president. She loves working with children as well, so you might occasionally find her volunteering with children at HOPE Equestrian, a therapeutic horseback riding center. Although her girls are no longer in the local schools, Robynne still volunteers as a lunch buddy every year.

Jeffrey Nagel grew up on a farm in Sonoma, California, where his family still lives and grows wine grapes. After college in Davis and San Francisco, he spent two decades as a teacher and school administrator in Northern California, finding time in his schedule to volunteer as a scoutmaster in several different Boy Scout troops (both his sons are Eagle Scouts). While running a gifted and talented program, Jeffrey organized a summer program to bring kids to Ashland for the plays and fell in love with the town. When he first moved to Oregon, Jeffrey remodeled at 1914 farm house, including drawing the plans, getting permits, hiring subcontractors, jacking it up and putting a foundation under it, and adding a 1,000 s.f. addition. He knows a little about sweat equity! Jeffrey is passionate about homes, construction, and putting YOU in the right place.

Did we mention that we have a lot of fun? Sure, we are smart and serious and fierce negotiators, know the local market like the back of our hand, and always go the extra mile for our clients, but life is too short not to have a great time!
